| Something I "stumbled" across online. Awesome idea and lots of other vendors have them also. Unfortunately, the cans themselves can be a bit pricey... even on eBay.

| I would look at Rotopax's I have 4 fuel and 2 water cans. You cant even tell that they are on the roof. And It is way easier to fill the FJ up with these than other styles. I can vouch personally that they don't leak and work well for all things. I do pan on ordering 2 more fuel cans in the future. I would Just order the yellow self venting spouts for them on the side, works better.

Looks pretty cool and MUCH slimmer profile that the Jerry Cans. What kind of roof rack do you have? I have a full ARB rack so Im not sure which type of mount would work best.

| I have a baja rack. I just strap them down, no mounts. That what when I dont need them up there my rack is bare, most of the time. You can also look for a discount code for them. I think I found one on a ATV forum and saved like 20% if memory serves. This really made it worth while. Also I might add my wife can use these things easier than the 5 gallon variety and that they are also ballasted so sloshing is kept to a minimum.
He also has velcro straps you can get to mount 2 of them together and easier to strap.

| Wow! Thats incredible. Youre right, you can BARELY even see them. I love the low-profile look and Im sure it even helps a little with gas mileage. Sweet looking rig btw... nice to see another snorkel also!!! | |

No prob, just throwing some ideas out there. I will deff. have all of them mounted for the upcoming trip to the outer banks. I don't go on a road trip without them!

| Yeah, Id love to have them "just in case" as well. We dont get great gas mileage anyway, especially with aftermarket bumpers, tires, roof racks, etc, so I think its a good idea. | |

| Thank you kindly. I built it to please me and the wife. So far it has done well! And also the yes the mileage is way better with out the 5 gallons on the rack. I took them down after 1 road trip. It was horrible I think the 2nd fastest tank I ever went through. The first being at the beach. I may have gotten 100 miles to that tank. And with these I get the same mileage with or without them mounted on the hiway. 15-17. | |

| Wow, impressive. Yeah, 15-17 is what I get now. I think my tires and ARB full rack are to blame. Id like to get a fairing of somekind... I think thatll help out a lot. Its so hard to justify paying $100 for it though. Definitely an advantage you have with the Baja!! | |

| Well that is due to a light foot. I learned my lesson with the FJ 60-65 is the best range for MPG in my rig. Also I keep the tires at max PSI 50, switched to a synthetic winch cable and built a storage box for the rear out of 3/4" Birch plywood and just the speaker box is 3/4" MDF that probably cut the weight down too. I did have a box out of all 3/4" MDF HEAVY and now not to bad. I probably get 12-13 MPG in town. | |

| That sounds about right. You have the Demello front bumper and probably bigger tires than me. | |

| Yea I am running 305/70r17 a 34x 12.20. The winch line seemed to cut the weight in half. when I swapped it out I couldnt belive the weight difference between the 2. MASSIVE!
Also 4.56 gears. | |

| Well when your ready let me know I still have lines open with my vendors. Also Look at Iron man lifts. I have a very close friend that switched from a tired OME to the Iron man set up and loves it. Also I can get a pretty good deal on them. | |

Cliff, do you have the 4 gallon fuel cans or the smaller 2 or 3 gallon ones? Im thinking of getting 2 of the 4 gallon ones and laying them on top of one another towards the back of my ARB rack, width-ways. Im sure the 2 or 3 gallon fuel tanks are easier to handle, but it seems cheaper to go with the 4 gallon ones. Please correct me if Im wrong and any insight, as always, is greatly appreciated!

| All my fuel are 4 gallon, let me know when you want to order I can get 20% off on rotopax, I am ordering 2 more 4 gallon fuel and 2 more 2 gallon water. That way I have a tank worth of fuel on the roof and it doesn't cost as much as a aux. fuel tank. The 4 gallon are easy to handle believe me. My wife can do it no prob.. | |
