BAJA FJ EXP Rack $550 save on shipping

The FJ EXP Rack is rugged, versatile, and very cool; the outside frame is made of 1 inch carbon steel tubing and the floor with ½ inch spaced mesh to avoid small items from falling. It also comes with an aluminum wind deflector that has a clear coating over the already resistant powder coating finish. We do this because we know the beating the rack will get out there.



The installation is done directly to the factory mounts on the vehicle; all mounting hardware is stainless steel. The design follows the contours of the FJ roof while keeping the bottom level. Total height of the vehicle (stock) with the rack installed is 78.25".

Ive wanted one of those for a while. I ended up settling for the Baja Rack Drop-In basket though because of cost. Im not sure if youre aware of this, but the Baja website has the rack for $650. If I can find someone to buy my OEM rack with the Baja Rack basket, Ill gladly take yours off your hands.

Yeah I saw the $650 price... where they get you is the SHIPPING. It's a great rack but it looks like I need the full
utility baja track so I can fit either two roof top tents or one BIG rrt.

Ahh, great point. I forgot (somehow) that the shipping was a 1/3 the cost of my drop-in basket.

I like yours because of the low profile. Its definitely (I think) useable but you dont have all the "extra" tubage that the OEM rack has. Id have to get creative with my current ave/shovel mount but that could be fun.

I dont think anyone will buy my setup for $700 but Ill let you know if something happens. Im too poor right now to put in any extra money or Id be driving to Durham tonight

It's actually a pain in the arse. Chad did a great write-up on it under the "How To" section of this forum. In short, you first have to create a Photobucket account then upload your pics to that. He has it layed out nicely though.

Man, I'm like the only rackless FJ around. I'd love to take it, I'll need to get one sometime next year If I take my truck on base. But I'd be dead broke after installation.

Oh I hear ya loud and clear! Thats the only thing holding me back from lifting mine and its KILLING me. lol Hey, you heading out to Flushead's in August?

I haven't heard anything about Flushhead. I must of missed it. Is there a link for more info?

Go on the Facebook group. John Desmond, from Leith Toyota (where we had the event), is in charge of setting evreything up. I met Flushead at the event. He lives by Asheville in the mountains and invited over 20 trucks the first weekend in Aug, 5th-7th, for some off-roading and good times. Should be a lot of fun and Flushead's definitely a cool cat. Im almost positive 20 trucks havent signed up yet, but drop John a message on Facebook.
