The last Group Buy on Southeast Overland Amsteel Blue winch lines went
pretty well so let's try another! Many people prefer synthetic winch
line to steel cable because its lighter (1/7th the weight of steel),
easier to handle, stretches less, recoils less and maintains less energy
if it breaks so it is safer, stronger per diameter, it floats, and can
be easily field repaired with a little practice.
Here is the basic dealeo.
- The Group Buy will run until the end of June 2012.
- All winch lines will receive a free aluminum non-offset hawse fairlead without a liner. This is a $45 value.
If you want a different fairlead (offset, black, or with a liner) you
just pay the difference. If you don't want a fairlead you can have a
2"x20' Made in the USA snatch strap which is a $39.95 value but
currently on sale in the WEB STORE. Or, you can have 10% off your order.
(I'd go with the fairlead.)
- All orders $300 or more also
receive free shipping. You can add other products that are in stock to
your order to receive free shipping.
- All orders under $300 ship for $16 flat rate on in-stock merchandise.
- South Carolina sales tax will be charged for in-state shipments.

All winch lines are available in 5/16" (13,700 lbs break), 3/8" (19,600
lbs break), and 7/16" (23,900 lbs break). We stock orange, blue, and
dark green in 5/16" and 3/8" along with all thimbles, hooks, abrasion
guards, and other winch line and extension pieces so we can ship fast.
Any 7/16" winch lines will have bulk line ordered at the end of June and
assembled winch lines mailed out ASAP.
Pics of Products
- All winch lines comes with a 10' length of black abrasion guard printed 'SOUTHEAST OVERLAND' plus a 10' length of drum wrap.
lines come with a butt splice/plain end or a spade connector for
attachment to your winch drum. I simply use Gorilla Tape to tape the
tail end across the drum on both sides and then a minimum of 8 wraps
are needed to keep your winch line attached. This is the most universal
way available to attach your synthetic line and the method I prefer.
can be made by PayPal invoice, or credit card, or check. Checks must
clear before merchandise will be mailed. All in stock orders will be
spliced and ship within typically a few days.
- Custom splicing, lengths, and diameters are available.
