GSMTR 2012 will be a week packed with wheeling, fun, and excitement for both you and family! Golden Mountain OHV Park offers some of the most challenging trails in the Southeast for all skill levels, as well as other park amenities for your enjoyment. While off the trail you can relax by fishing, hiking, playing horseshoes, or taking your children to the newly-renovated playground. Outside the offerings of Golden Mountain, their are several near by attractions and/or activities that you can visit and enjoy.

Daily Trail Ride Procedures (Mon – Sun):
Because many of our participants are veterans of this event, we do not formally assign ride groups or formal departure times. If you are unfamiliar with the trails, we recommend that you seek our a truck or two that is equipped similar to yours and team up for an outing. The members of STLCA will be happy to assist you if you can not get hooked up on your own. For your safety and the safety of others, stay off of the difficult trails if you do not have a hard-core trail and/or an experience group leader. There are a number of difficult trail sections/obstacles in the park that are heavily used during events. If you encounter a line of vehicles waiting to go up the trail, be courteous. If you can not navigate a section in 3 attempts don’t feel bad about having to pull cable and move on to let the next guy have a chance.
Registration and Safety Inspection (Mon – Sat):
Monday: Check-in and Safety Inspections will be open from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm.
Tuesday – Friday: Check-in and Safety Inspections will be open from 9:00 am to noon and 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Saturday: Check-in and Safety Inspections will be open from 9:00 am until noon.
Tuesday, May 15, 2012:
9:00 am - Driving and Winching Seminar at the pavilion followed by a guided, easy trail ride.
Wednesday, May 16, 2012:
Activity to be determined
Thursday, May 17, 2012:
9:00 am - Guided, easy trail ride. Departure by 10:00 am. Bring lunch, snack, and refreshments since we may be on the trail for several hours.
Friday, May 18, 2012:
2:00 pm – Synthetic Cable Splicing and Repair Seminar by Steve Spring at the pavilion.
7:00 pm – Burger Cookout at the pavilion.
8:30 pm – until: Open Mic, pickin’ and singin’ at the pavilion. Bring your instrument of choice and join in!
Satuday, May 19, 2012:
12:30 pm - Group Photos at the dirt track.
1:30 pm – Blind Folder Driver Challenge at the dirt track.
7:00 pm – Dinner followed by Awards and Raffles. Please be off the trail or back in camp by 6:30 pm so you don’t miss out!
Sunday, May 20, 2012:
Departures, check-out by noon – Trails will be open, but most will pack up and hit the road. You must be out of the campground by noon to avoid paying Golden Mountain for additional days.
