I just talked to Skip from the Gulches, he said the earliest he can probably be out there is 11. I also got my sweet river side camp site reserved.

I'll let you know after I talk to Skip later today. If he says 11, then we really won't need to leave Huntersville till 9.

Just talked to Skip. He can be there at 10:30 Friday. So we can meet by 8:30 Brian.

He also said it will be warm, so bring your swim trunks and you can swim in the river which is crystal clear.......

Sounds good, I am going to try to be at the CVS at 8:00. I will be hitting the traffic at the worst time, so I want to give myself some flex time.

I will bring my swim trunks, although I have never seen a river in the South that is crystal clear. If it is I will be putting this area on my camping list.

Crystal clear to a southerner basically means it isn't pudding thick.

If it's like the streams up at Richland, that would be nice....

If anyone else wants to camp, I have a sweet site along the river and can fit you in at no cost.

Tomorrow I will be getting the FJ ready. Today I completed my trail map! Map on the front. The descriptions on the back. I left off the descriptions of the Easy Trails. Casey will appreciate the laminating of the map. Oh and I have an extra with a small blemish.

Where did you find the description of the trails?

It's downloadable off the Gulches website

Well yours does look a little nicer if that's any consolation.

BTW - DON'T FORGET THE BUG SPRAY!!!!! Gulches has a lot of standing water in places, and the gnats and mosquitoes will annoy the crap out of ya if you don't have some bug spray.

Wow, Heartbreaker is rated Orange, who knew. I took my FJC up that trail a couple years back, cost me a huge dent in the passenger side suicide door. Only had to pull cable once. Skip was amazed that I took the FJC up through there.

Def go down Rebel Blvd. You'll like the 3 wheeling over a couple of the larger humps. Wishbone will do the same thing to you

My shop is less than an hour from The Gulches, between there and you guys. If you need anything or just want to stop by give me a call. Plenty of room to camp as well if you like.

Its no consolation. I probably spent an hour doing that.

This will be a day trip for me so I probably won't make it by your shop tomorrow (unless I break down!) In July I am spending a few days in Flat Rock NC, and was thinking about stopping by your shop on the way back.

Good to know, it would be par for the course for be to break something else this time

No worries guys. I also have a trailer so in a worst case scenerio I could come and get a dead rig as well if needed.

The shop is no big deal to see, just offering help or a place to hang out if needed.

Have a great time guys, bring lots of water as it has been in the low 90s and humid the past few days.

Thanks for offering to help. I hope we do not need it. Knock on wood. I do want to swing by and see your FJ front bumper.

So it looks like it's just me, Brian and Casey now. Casey, are you just driving straight through, or planning to try and meet somewhere? I'm thinking you will want to just go straight there since it will be hard to time a place in between anywhere.

I think we're planning on just driving through. It'll be a long enough morning without having to worry Bout netting up and waiting.

We will meet at the Gulches! I might be a little grumpy, very rarely do I get up this early
