Subject: back to uwharrie may 28 Thu May 19, 2011 12:57 am

heading to uwharrie may 28th for a day trip...as always anyone is welcome to join. I will be at the eldorado outpost at 9am with my silver 4runner. Depending on who shows and what your comfortable with determines the trails to be run. I go there often enough I go more to socialize and be out of the city than anything so all are welcome and the more the merrier.

my work is also quite fickle... i lost my 4 day memorial day weekend and got cut to three. Damn inventory schedule

So a guy I met lat time I was at Uwharrie is going to try to meet me down there saturday at 9am in his 3rd gen 4runner. Its kinda sad a forum of FJ cruisers supposedly with so much prowess offroad are letting more 4runner show up than FJ's Razz

Ah thats a bummer you can't go this weekend. It's either may 28th or the next Saturday for me. But I'd like to be there with 2-3 other off-roaders. More the better. Anyway you can cancel your charlotte trip this weekend? Laughing

How much does URE cost? And do you think it will be muddy with all this rain lately?

URE is 5$

Muddy... well there is alwways some mud to be found if your into that kinda thing but the trails dry out very quickly. However with very little rain they becoem very slippery in a matter of minutes. Uwharrie wet is entirely diffent from Uwharrie dry

I dont THINK I have anything planned for the following Saturday (June 4th) but Ill let you guys know when it gets closer. Fonnie, take some pics of the Maiden Voyage if you go this weekend!!

Dont know if you'll see this tonight or not, but it has been rainin' its Buh-tox off east of the Troy/Uwharrie area...weather.com doesnt show alot over that'a way, but just want to be sure we're still good before I head out on a two hour drive at 7am on a Saturday?

URE was fairly dry today... great day on the trails. I think NC FJ DRIVER did great for his first time... Drove up Daniel with some flair got both front tires in the air gassing it up the first ledge. His wife drove up RML and took the ledge by storm below kodak rock. Great driving.

I Wound up rubbing my passenger side doors on the right side of the second ledge on daniel but overall left unscathed.

Definately a great time! Thanks to Chad for showing the way, along with a whole host of good people from NC4X4.

Just got home after a nice dinner at the Thai Pepper in Albemarle...nice ending to a long day!

Already cant wait for the next go around.
