PostSubject: Overland Warehouse/Icon VS Lift install   Overland Warehouse/Icon VS Lift install Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 4:06 pm

My goodies came in and I installed them. In one word to describe how they ride, TERRIFIC! I currently have my front swaybar off, as I usually take it off for offroading anyway. The install went very good and smooth. The weather worked in our favor. All together, it took me and my friend Justin 2.5 hours to install and take pic's. Oh, did I mention I was waiting for this day for a really long time!

Here are some pic's of the install from start to finish.

First the tools:

Then the rear shocks Icon VS Series 2.0 for 3" lift

Then my Overland Warehouse rear coils 3" lift. I painted the bottom coil wrap with truck bedliner since this area gets scuffed during flexing usually and the powdercoating can rub off a little:

Front install pic's: first the Overland Warehouse 2.5" heavy duty coilovers next to stock:

I will report back after my coilovers have settled. Right now I have almost 4-4.5" front lift and exactly 3" rear lift. The ride is infact GREAT!!! I do not feel like my alignment is pulling or off but I can see my front tires camber is out some. The big bumps and speed bumps on our street are just soaked up so smoothly now like a dream or something. I can't wait to take it off pavement!

Here are my cv's

Thanks guys, well next is some sliders and a heavy duty skid plate. Then some extended rear sway bar links. After we recoup from all of my spending maybe I can get some bigger meaty tires! That opens a whole other ball park and discussion though Smile

Thanks guys. I am pretty stoked about it right now! I couldn't help myself so I drove around some logging roads I have out behind my house and the 4Runner feels AWESOME!!! I can't wait to get on the trail for some real use. The front is a tad high but my coils should settle after a while. Lisa is having a hard time getting in now but my sliders should be here on Thursday.

Dang, the next time we're lost and searching for a restaurant, you'll be high enough for me to see you in my rear-view mirror! Looks great!

Bobby, do you happen to have the part numbers on the front Eibach springs (they're printed right on the springs)?

Thanks man, I am going to have to wait a while to get some new tires though. Hopefully not to long. Thinking something in a size 34" though.

PostSubject: Alignment Sheet   Overland Warehouse/Icon VS Lift install Icon_minitimeWed Mar 28, 2012 9:30 am

I got my alignment done yesterday. Thanks Brian! Jeff the tech at ASI was very good to deal with. He is experienced with lifted trucks and Toyotas. That made me feel pretty good. He pulled as much caster as possible and said that my caster is maxed out now. The #'s could be better if I had some UCA's but the ride feels very stable and tracks straight. My caster and camber seems a tad low but in order to get the caster where it is it effects the camber so one or the other. With 4" of lift in the front and 3" rear lift. My cv angles seem fine. my passenger side coilover is cranked all the way up and my drivers side is showing about 2/16". I have about 1/8"-1/4" drivers lean which is not noticable and fine.

Let me know what you guys think.

Caster actually looks perfect. Pretty good for stock UCA's....

Sorry I missed this earlier. The springs for the coilovers are from Eibach made specifically for Overland Warehouse and Radflo. In this case these are 700 lbs Heavy duty springs.
