Southeast Overland Adventures
LLC will be heading out to Snowbird with the Southeast FJs April 27-29th.
This will be a basic guided trip on the 3,600 acre property. We thought there were 50 miles of trail but now I'm thinking there might be more but we won't know until we finish mapping the trails. This is one of only a few places to get an 'expedition' or 'overland' experience in the NC/SC/GA/TN area. It is private property so you will see very very few other people on site. The most other parties I've every come across during an entire day is one. A recovery class and winch line repair class are planned and will be free of charge.
Camping will be held at Crawford’s Campground, which is about 10 minutes from Snowbird. Danny the owner is a great host and may be joining us at Snowbird for the afternoon. He can also cater us BBQ for Saturday night ($12 per plate) at our request if we get at least 20 people signed up. Contact Danny directly at the campground to make reservations but make sure to tell him you are with the Snowbird trip. Crawfords Campground Also be sure you follow his directions on the website to the campground and not your GPS or we may never see you.
The cost for entry into Snowbird will be $25.00 per person attending per day and to get your spot reserved go to Southeast Overland Adventures to fill out your info. The trip package you will choose will be the April 27-29 the dates. All the information on the property can be found at the above website. If you have any issues with the website then email me directly at Steve@SoutheastOverlandAdventures.com.
I will be on site from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon for anyone who wants to go in early on Friday or catch a later run on Sunday. Wheeling/winching on Saturday all day, eating BBQ (hopefully) and camping that night and bailing out in the morning. Sunday is typically low key and whoever wants to hang around can form up a small group return to the property if desired.
This is not an FJ Cruiser only event so if you have friends or family that want to participate, everyone is welcome.
