| My FJ Cruiser is a 2007 Voodoo Blue 4x4 with the 6-speed manual transmission. I test drove both the 5AT and 6MT but went with the manual because IMO it has more driver feedback and gives me more control over the vehicle. I bought the FJ used from the original owner with 45,000mi on the clock and it came from the factory with the following: - Upgrade Package #1 - Upgrade Package #2 - Convienence Package - Perfered Accessory Package My intention is to build my FJ Cruiser to conquer anything I'm willing to put in front of it and still get me home safely, whether it be 5 minutes or 2000 miles away... Current setup (minus recently added..): Exterior: Factory roof rack re-installed Factory mud flaps removed Demello 3-hoop bumper Acro HID foglights in bumper Polarg 'W-Face' headlights ¾” shackles painted blue to match Bottle opener on front bumper Safari snorkel Bandi mount 4’ Firestik CB antenna AVG in-channel vent visors Stickers added for extra horsepower Plasti-dip’d grill and emblems 2011 FJCruiserForum grille badge Toyota Trail Teams grille badge Interior: Factory guage pod Factory rubber all weather floor mats Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD GoPro HD for video recording Cobra 29 NW ST WX CB 30GB Classic iPod video Pandora internet radio ready IMP shift knobs “blue balls” Garmin 1450LMT auto GPS Garmin eTrex Vista HCx outdoor GPS Rigid Industries LED survival flashlight Coleman 3-4 person tent Coleman SUV air mattress w/ 110V pump (2) 0’F sleeping bags First aid kit Survival essentials Recovery Gear Under the hood: Stock 4.0L 6 speed manual K&N drop in filter TRD catback exhaust FJoel's blue battery clamp Suspension, wheels and tires: Radflo 2.5 coilovers in front Radflo 2.5 shocks/springs in rear Camburg upper control arms Factory 17” alloys 295/70R17 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 1.5” hub-centric wheels spacers Body mount chop Recovery (Jeep recovery equipment ): Smittybilt XRC-10 Competition Recovery bag 3+ shackles SEO Recovery rope SEO Tree strap (3” – 30,000lb) SEO Tow strap (2” – 20,000lb) ARB 9000 heavy duty snatch block Leather gloves . . . . . | It is very nice looking. I have always liked bright color vehicles, I just never liked the white roofs. | |

I've colored the roof in a few times on Photoshop and really like the way it looks. I may get it done one day... Here is an example of some "Photoshop Mods" lol - bigdogdewey2 wrote:

| Dern I never would have thought that Orange Boxx would have made it to a wish list ! Make sure you buy some raffle tickets for the Give a way rear PSD for the wounded warrior project .
By the way Your truck is awesome. I love the way it looks. Its stance is one of the better ones out there.

| Finally got my coax ran and got the CB powered up. I need to re-fab the mounts to make them look a little better but at least it works. I want to go back and get some new hardware for my antenna mount, I had to reuse the old plastic isolators that were on my '89 Pickup. | |

| Awesome build man. I really like where you located your CB but I'm afraid that my dog my rip it off (she doesn't like to sit still lol). Your bumper has me reconsidering not getting an ARB. I origionally planned on getting a 3 hoop like yours, then changed my mind, and now I just don't know what to do lol. | |

| Not much new going on with my FJ right now, I bought a house and trying to save up some pennies so I can furnish it! lol One thing I'm definitely planning on buying in the next few days is a new solenoid for my Smittybilt winch. I'm going to try a replacement from Titan Winch, it seems like a big improvement from what I have now. Here are some specs: - Quote :
- Product Description
http://www.dnaoffroad.com.au/products.php?product=Titan-winch-solenoid%7B47%7Dcontactor-pack# 12 volt heavy duty solenoid/contactor winch pack [also available in 24 Volt] - commonly known as the Titan solenoid
You only need one - this solenoid controls your winch in both directions!
- Fully waterproof
- Will out perform and outlast your standard solenoids
- Easy to wire up
- Suitable for all winches up to 12000lb
- A quality solenoid that will free you from problems associated with the cheaper solenoids supplied standard with electric winches
- It's time to get rid of those unreliable solenoids.
These waterproof contactors give your winch unsurpassed operation and reliability - a must for all electric winch owners.
- Robust and reliable
- Suitable for use with Warn - Ox - Premier - Runva - Mile Marker - ARB - TJM - Ramsay and more.
- Has a longer life - no more arcing when the current is switched. Arcing is the leading cause for the failure or poor performance of solenoids.
- No more solenoids that can burn out. This solid state unit will not burn out and will outlast other solenoids!
It is very easy to wire your hand controller to this unit or even wire up your own dash board mounted in/out switch.
Once I get the replacement, I'm going to drop my bumper and start relocating the solenoid to the engine bay. It's a win-win situation, the solenoid stays out of the weather and it will be replaceable without dropping my bumper again! The only real downside I see is the engine heat potentially shortening the solenoid life (maybe?).

| A little update since I've been 'off the grid' for a couple of weeks...
One of my "stupid bright" Polarg headlights already bit the dust, which is a real disappointment after spending ~$70 on them.
If you have expensive headlights, I would suggest disconnecting the DRLs. I believe that would have made them last a little longer!

| Hey man, does this bumper allow for more clearance (specifically larger diameter) for the spare carrier? And would it interfere with the tow hitch receiver? |
