PostSubject: locking gas cap   Wed Jan 04, 2012 2:26 pm

is anyone using one? the guy are the auto parts store said that it may throw a code.

want to see which one is being used and if it threw a code, before I get one.

Have you considered the aftermarket fuel door that locks? It looks good too!

found them.....good lawd...$220.00 for a fuel door.

Aftermarket fuel caps have been known to throw codes on the FJ.

yeah that is due to vented vs non-vented. I like the locking fuel door idea. mine is always on "E" so I may not need to lock up the nothing that is in my tank.
