has anyone installed a hidden cig plug as well as split their aux plug?

I got a new fancy phone/mp3/gps and want a windshield mount. I want to install an under dash cig lighter for power and tap into my aux plug.

I installed an extra cig lighter outlet on the right side of the console, about 3.5" back from the very front of the console. Used the Radio Shack kit and followed the directions in a How to Thread from over in the Blue Room. Took less than 20 minutes start to finish, really easy.

I have also installed the extra cig lighter. I actually did the 3 port on from radio shack. Found directions on the blue room. Very easy to install.

Another good idea that I want to do. I will have to put that on my list.

I'm getting ready to replace my head unit over the weekend and remove the aux. jack. I'll let you know what kind of wiring it has, but as I recall from the wiring diagram, it's a simple three wire connection with a neutral, a left channel and a right channel input. Are you planning on doing a simple 'Y' configuration, or are you going to try to install a switch to go back and forth between the two sources? I figure if you switch the common wire, it should work well.
