2013 TT Bling Ring Removal on Wheels

I love my 2013 TT, but I hated the fake bling rings on the wheels. Some have filled in the empty holes with the original 8mm bolts and #31 Danco o-rings, but the screws still stick out and are too long.

After researching what to fill in the threaded holes with, I came to this conclusion:







I ordered 100 for $10 and gently tapped them into place with a rubber mallet, after cleaning and painting the threads. The color and texture match the wheels perfectly, almost an OEM look.

That looks MUCH better in my opinion!

Does look better, but they do serve a purpose, guarding against rocks and whatnot scraping up past the tire.... For DD-ing to work or whatever I guess they would not be an issue.

Finally got Toyota to fix my 55-65 mph steering wheel vibration with the E-Rated BFG Tires on the TT model. Seems E-Rated tires might be too sensitive for the steering, and are overkill for the weight of this vehicle.

Switched to Goodyear Duratrac 265/75R16 C-Rated tires and the road force numbers on the 3rd harmonic are in the single digits now, and the steering vibration is gone!!!
