| I am thinking about getting an air dam & lights to go on the roof rack of my FJ. I am very mechanical, but not auto-mechanical. (woodworking and construction are my things) For you guys in here who know more about this stuff than me (98% of you), how easy of a job is this? Its more of the electrical wiring that concerns me. How would the wires be run? Would I have to drill a whole from the top anywhere?
Also if anyone wants to suggest a product that would be great too! |

| Check with Jami (Sun Cruiser 6)... he's got some lights on his roof rack. Im not sure if he installed them personally or not though.
Also, if you havent already, check the Blue Room. Ive gone on there for 99% of my installs and I can usually find really great write-ups with pics and all.

| Yeah I did my own roof lights. I did however do the unthinkable.......I drilled a 3/4 hole through my roof. I found some plastic firewall grommets used in racing to pass the wiring through. I found it very difficult to run the wiring to 4 lights without cutting the hole. Besides, I plan on keep lights up there as long as I own my FJ and hopefully that will be for a long time.
On a side note, I am seriously considering replacing my Tuff brand light bar with the Baja Rack light bar. Their light bar looks more rigid and provides better protection of the lights than my Tuffy bar. It also looks much better. Hey David, is Baja Rack providing us with any discounts?

| That sounds good Rolando, I always like getting stickers and t-shirts. I am pretty sure I am going to get their light bar and it may be this coming week when I order it. Christmas is coming early for me I guess haha.
Thanks David, I am gonna shoot him an email and see what he says.

| Thanks Jami. If I do this it will most likely be closer to Spring. Please post some pics of your light bar. I want more lights, but have yet to see a good location for them without getting an aftermarket bumper. |

| David, have you thought of doing any lights on the roof rack insert. Ive been looking at options for the bar on the roof rack and being able to keep the air dam on? | |
