PostSubject: Giving Back   Mon Aug 08, 2011 9:09 am

I went riding on a few trails Friday morning. I was surprised and disgusted by the amount of trash left along side of the trails. Some of it was bagged and left, but much of it was just lying around the made camp sites. The park is a beautiful place and it is important that we do not abuse it.

I also noticed that some of the trails were "adopted" by different clubs (I recall Carolina Jeepers off the top of my mind). Perhaps this is something this club could do? I don't think it would be that hard, cleaning trash, clearing debris, cutting back brush. Coincidently this morning I saw this post on the blue room. This may help us get started.

I am new to the group and this might already be going on. If it is let me know, so I can help.

I think that is a GREAT idea!! I was thinking about this in the past, but have not yet acted on it. But it is an excellent idea and I really think we should do something like this.

What does everyone else think?
