I took all mine off and went with Rustoleum. Simple and it's been durable over the past 2 1/2 years. I used the satin black found at Lowes.

Once I had mine off, I cleaned them up and wet sanded them. Cleaned again and spray painted. So far, I can't think of a single chip in the paint anywhere on the truck. I've painted the front wings, rear wings, grill, mirrors, handles, ARB bumper, skid plates and roof. I still need to do a second coat on the roof, but that's easier said than done since I need a nice warm day outdoors with no wind and no bugs. I think we get two of those a year and I'm usually working on both.

With Plastidip DONT sand or anything. The beauty of the stuff is you can peel it off if you want to... wouldnt want sanded silver underneath!

Stuff is DURABLE too. I've done wheels and it's held up for over a year (not sure about offroad though....was a car)
