So after talking to Larry in G'boro, I decided I wanted to give this place a shot.

I am thinking sometime mid-late spring, like May or something. It's a bit of a drive, around 4 hours from Raleigh.

I am planning on running half the trail, camping, then finishing the trail the following day.

So...any takers?

Unfortunately there is not much info surrounding this place.

IN terms of difficulty, a stock vehicle will have trouble completing the trail, from what I have read.

It is located in Jefferson National Forest.

Larry said he had fun there. SO, if Larry had fun, then I can anticipate a challenge.

I'm in. The trail is a really fun trail with difficult bypasses. The main trail has a few rough spots and it gets a little tight at the top. Opens up in march or April, I would be down to show you the trail head, it's pretty difficult to find.

Yeah, best way to do it is to leave NC Sat morning, about a 2 hr drive from Greensboro, wheel half the trail up to the large camp spot, setup camp, and finish the rest of the trail sunday morning and head back home around lunch.
