I bought 3. I'll give you one if they fit. They are like the one in the pic above that says "dust cap"

I did this same basic setup and like it... The AllPro Bandi mount started rustins the minute I put it on... It's no where near the quality of the older versions other here have. I would suggest paying $10.00 more and getting the Boztec version (http://www.purefjcruiser.com/boztec-cb-antenna-mount-for-toyota-fj-cruiser-p-3913.html#.UOxq8G8s4xE).

Here's my setup in the console.

Only problem I see with the BozTec is if you use that flat ring type antenna wire connection... The BozTec looks like it needs to exit out the bottom. Not quite as clean as the bandi mount one. Maybe just Rustoleum the thing asap.

I do like the BozTec design overall though

Just had an idea. Instead of a quick disconnect I wonder if you could use one of those antenna hinges which would allow it to fold 90 degrees. Aim it to fold down behind or onto the spare tire a little. That way you wouldn't have to even put it in the truck when wheeling or something... I assume it could still get some signal that way too.

EDIT: like dis

Looks like a bunch of places online carry them, so I am sure ordering one is simple...

Here is the thread I stole those pics from

Everything arrived today. i went with the midland. I have two questions for you guys.

1. What is the easiest way to get the coaxial cable into the cab? At this point I think I am going to directly connect everything without using add-on connections. Would just going through the back door over time impact the seal too badly?

2. If I get this thing together this weekend, can anyone going tune it for me at the lunch at Daryl's?

Thanks Derek. I assume this means you know how to tune it? It might be an easy process, I just have no clue.

YES! I had my magnet mount on the roof and went the ought the door sill and it caused water to get under the rear mat. Don't do this! Go though the wire grament.

Thanks Paul. I am assuming you are referring to the grommet for the door wiring? That leads to the jack area. Where did you exit there and back into the cab area?

Brian did you get the Bandi and firestick...? if so then run the coax thru the door through the the loom rubber that connects all the wires...poke a hole at the lowest point and go up with the cable and thru into the cab...its super water tight...and i have never had a n issue with it...

We removed that whole panel from the side of the truck and ran the coax down the kick plate under the doors on the drivers side. Under the steering wheel and to the console.
