| I know it would most likely be sometime in the summer, as it would require a 2-3 day trip I would think. But figured I'd throw it out there to see what kind of interest anyone has in going. Looks like there are some good trails for our rigs, although most of what you find on Youtube is the real nasty stuff.
So who would be interested?

| Harlan is a great park, been going for years. My wife an I got married there at the summit of trail #15 (actually her idea) in 08 during the TTORA takeover.
There are trails there for every level of experience. Hopefully I'll have something up and running by the time you guys want to go. There are cabins on site, primative camping and also a Holiday Inn in town.
There are two entrances to the park from opposite sides of the mountain, both are about the same distance from down town Harlan. We generally camp at the Putney trail head. There are showers and bathrooms there as well.

http://www.harlancountytrails.com/blackmountain.php I'm thinking early summer, as soon as school is out - so Brian and Adrienne, and Tyler and Casey can come. That should give you plenty of time to have something running It would be good to have someone with us that's been there before.

| OMG i want that truck!!!!!!!!!!!....i see the GUNNY with a solid axle...i think most of that boulder field can be done with IFS...the issue would be the Atrac ...i think only a real locker up front would be the only way to go...correct me if im wrong... | |

| Harlan is a place that you'll wanna spend more than a weekend. Hell it takes a good bit of the day just to drive around the park especially with a big group. The trails are awesome. Real fun when wet. Body damage is likely. Camping isn't too bad in the summer, it didn't seem to get to hot up there when we went last July. I will say the cabins are sweet and a world of a difference next to camping. But I've been looking at going again. | |

| I think I would want 2 days of wheeling. That is a long drive for the family to make in 3 days. I like drive up Thursday, wheel 5-6 hours on Friday and Saturday, drive back Sunday. Perhaps there can be an early group and a sat only group.

| It would be an easier sale for the wife if I took a day for non-wheelin family time, so I might even take an extra day. After all I have the summers off!!!!! |
