Completely random...
Are any of the members on here current or past members of the BSA? If so, how long were/have you been involved? Did you make Eagle? Do you feel it had a positive or negative impact on how you live your day to day life?

My brothers an eagle, does OA, but is now in the Coast Guard. I got to life, but stopped after that. It was beginning to be too much politics for me.

I made it to Eagle with a lot of push from my dad (I didn't get a car until I earned my Eagle). I was always more interested in camping and the other more fun parts about scouting than earning ranks and merit badges

Eagle scout here. Scouts helped give me additional exposure to the outdoors on top of what my father and grandfather gave. When I was young and applying for jobs I put "Eagle Scout" on my resume and received positive comments, and it also was mentioned a couple times that it helped me receive a job.

That's awesome, guys! I'm an Eagle, as are both my brothers and my father. It definitely had a great impact on me as an adult.
