Cool can't wait to see the Rock Crushers on!

A.) what kind of adapter do you need to mount one of those Firesticks up there? I've been wanting to find a 2 footer and a short spring to put on mine. I know a guy in the blueroom makes the whole setup, but charges like $50.

B.) Those wheels are nassssssty!!!! That will look great for sure!

A.) Check out post #15 on
THIS page. Thats what I will be doing but there is also another bracket set up on that same thread. So you have options. I just want to keep the mount stock so I can switch back easily if needed.

Ahhhh so simple! That's exactly what I shall be doing at some point!

A red firestik would definitely look cool on my rig. Might have to do this as well.

I saw a red one on a silver fj in another thread and yes they look pretty cool.

I got the adapter finished up at work.

all joking aside I hope it is close in final height to the 4' on the boztec rear door mount.
I will install tomorrow and post some pics.

How difficult would it be to have another adapter made up? And how much?!

Got the test fit done. Really happy with the height of the setup.


But the stud was too long as seen below. So I will get that trimmed up and then this little project will be complete
minus a reception test. but seeing as I listen to pandora 100% of the time. Reception was not really a big concern.
I would prefer it work close to stock for those patchy signal areas of highway. either way I will update.

I actually have 3 of them already tapped I would just need to trim the studs on those 3 which I will do on sunday at work. So FJ Derek, DamnItsAGlasgow, and Totald are welcome to them. Derek I can meet you some time.
Glasgow I will be at ASI on the 22nd and can meet you there. Totald if you wanted it the cost of shipping will be good.
Sorry I don't have enough parts for any more. I do have 7 of the 5mm studs if anybody wants one, but I have used all of the nut couplers.

I will be there at 11am until however long a BMC takes, they said half of a day so I would guess till around 3ish.

I've been running this on my FJ for awhile now and the FM reception on my 3' Firestik is just as good as the stock antenna was. No worries, buy with confidence!

Do any of yall know if they make a 2' Firestik FM antenna? I think that'd look pretty good too.

They make 2' CB antennas and the CB antenna works fine for FM.

Oh does it? I wasn't sure if there'd be issues with the 2-way feature.

No problems at all! I've been running mine for a year now.
