PostSubject: FJ's in the snow!   Thu Sep 27, 2012 11:08 pm

It is getting to be that time of year....summer is over, leaves are turning and temps are on their way down.... FINALLY!!!

So, in the spirit of the season changing, and in the hopes of some good snowfall this winter....lets see ANY pics of your FJ/4Runner/Tacoma/Toy in the snow!!!

I will start! (remember, this IS North Carolina, so ANY snow pic would be great....)

The following pics were taken in Kinston, NC - February 2010, 2 months after I bought the FJ. We were on our way to a Valentine weekend getaway at OBX!

January 20, 2009. I had her for about 3 weeks. This was in Brier Creek in the undeveloped lot at the end of Brier Creek Parkway by Courtney Estates Apartments and Walmart.

Northwest of Jackman, Maine on a logging road near the Canadian border. I'd had her for about two weeks at this point with the only mod being the wheels and mud tires. In low range, she'd push through 32"+ of snow, but it was very slow going.

Even up there, I was the only 4wd on the roads or anywhere. Everyone else was on their snowmobiles!

Awesome! That second shot is really nice with the shutter speed catching the snow beautifully.

I went ahead and hooked all my lights back up tonight so I had options while playing in the snow. I'm really glad I have yellow PIAAs down low since everything else feels like an intro to Star Trek. We've got just over 3" here so far and I'm looking forward to playing in the morning and getting a few pictures.
