Can anyone give me an idea as to when the leaves start turning

Place like

-Richlands Road

-Hurricane Creek

-Bumpass cove

I really want to hit them at the peak color, seems like I always miss it

That's what I want to hear since I'll be heading up to the mountains in 2-3 weeks!

High Country (Boone/Blowing Rock Parkway area) goes to peak around the 15th-20th of October. Richland Road is a little lower in elevation so I would plan on peak color being between Oct 20th - 30th. I don't know other the elevation of the other places. Although I think Hurricane creek would be similar to Richland road.

Take the Richland Road trail on either Saturday 10/20 or 10/27 and I am sure it will be nice. Exit onto the parkway and ride on it for a while. Perhaps come back that Old Hwy 105 that others have gone down. Would be a nice Fall ride.

But there will be some leaves falling next sat. at horse camp creek tn. Come one come all. You will be blown away by the scenery, and the trails forget about uwharries dusty bowl and lets all explore something new.
