PostSubject: New guy from Raleigh. NC 07 FJ   Mon Jul 09, 2012 11:29 pm

Im new to the FJ, came from a 07 Tacoma, then a 07 Tundra, now an 07 FJ. Loving the FJ and the extra interior room for my dogs, sometimes I wish for a little more power coming for the Tundra but you cant have everything I guess!

Bought the FJ bone stock:

Traded out the 17" BBS wheels and tires straight up for these with BF Goodrich all terrains. Plasti-Dipped all the silver and tinted the front windows.

Truck didnt "come with" Atrack so I put my own switch in as well as a VSC disable, rear camera, and light switch.

I have also added a rear button to release the back window as well as a lock and unlock. Bolted a safe into the rear cargo area for handguns, added a small sub, a net to keep the dogs in the back, Double din radio, removed the diffuser from the lights in the mirrors, upgraded all the interior lights to LED, and blacked out the front turn signals.

All this and I havent even made the first payment on it yet.... not sure if that is a good sign or if this will be a new money pit!

Anyway good to be here and meet new enthusiasts.

Adam

The lights on the back are just cheap driving lights from ebay, not REAL bright, but work ok, think I paid $8 shipped. The switches came from radio shack.

Welcome welcome!!!!!
Looks like you got a pretty good start on some mods. Cool that you wired in your own switches for the atrac and all.

Its not an expensive one, just something that I can lock when need be since the FJ doesnt have a locking glove box (almost didnt buy the truck because of this). It is bolted through the floor using the stock d-ring holes. Just needed something in case I end up somewhere that doesnt allow firearms inside.
