| I understand the way Metal Tech feels about their product, however I think all of this is going to hurt them in the end. The best thing to do is make a product that stands out among all the would be carbon copies. Based on appearance I would choose the Demello sliders over Metal Tech based simply on appearance. They are more attractive in my opinion. | |

| i have the trademark on shoes...if it has a sole...i OWN it...
ok seriously i dont..im kidding of course...but this is basically a case of "jealousy"....sliders have been around since well before Metal Tech and Demello OFf Road have been in business...neither of the sliders in question look alike in a MAJOR way. they are sliders thats it...trapezoidal this kick out that...it could go on for ever...wall thickness ...steel formulations...low carbon high carbon...seriously could go on for ever...soneone woke up one morning figured they knew a lawyer and thought that they could make a case...the issue here is that Metal tech actually went after the "trademark" route....NO OTHER slider manufacturer needed to go that route as common sense says a slider is a slider...period...i personally think that if MT has served others with a law suit that HE SHOULD NOT BE AIRING anything on the boards...honestly it only hurts him in the end...judge will see that and realize all he is doing is trying to own something you just cant own...its like AIR... | |

| im surprised it lasted as long as it did...its funny how since there was an ongoing suit that the PLAINTIFF was allowed to talk about it in a public...let alone a public online forum...im not a judge nor a lawyer or even a paralegal...but i think public opinion may be the final judgement on this particular subject...

| What is ironic is that the thread was deleted from other forums they own such as Pirate 4x4. Would be nice to see some reasoning/justification from verticle scope/autoguide on why. | |
